Chorus are currently undertaking the conversion of a Grade II listed residential property in Queensgate, London into a high specification 28-bedroom hotel. Careful reconfiguration will allow the 1955 Adria Hotel style to shine once more while introducing modern elements and facilities.
Works include the installation of a gym, treatment rooms and back of house facilities as well as reception, lounges, dining rooms and guest rooms. The facade will be extensively restored and all glazing will be replaced, restoring the original look of the hotel while incorporating modern standards of acoustic and thermal isolation. The central lightwell will be converted into a garden room with a sliding glass roof to create a light and relaxing potting shed inspired space in the middle of London. Original fireplaces are to be restored where possible and if necessary will be replaced with reclaimed Victorian fireplaces.
