WEST ONE SHOPPING CENTRE

SCOPE OF WORK

The 34,840 sq. ft refurbishment of offices sitting above the West One Shopping Centre just off Oxford Street was completed to a 27 weeks programme and incorporated complete new plant installation, reception and lift refurbishment and office fit out to CAT A.

The project was undertaken in an occupied building with existing tenants on the first floor and a fully operating shopping centre on the ground and lower ground floors. This placed huge restrictions on the ‘noisy works’. The project also required close liaison with Transport for London regarding Bond Street tube station situated below the property.

The reception area was completely remodelled, extending its area by almost double by utilising the unused ‘dead space’ in the previous design. The reception incorporates full height glazing along with a maroon glass feature wall and three security barriers giving access to the rest of the building.

The lift lobby was fully refurbished with limestone flooring to match the reception area. All three lifts and stairwells were also refurbished. The building required a full mechanical and electrical refurbishment including all new roof plant and ductwork.
